In this role your main responsibilities will be to:

•Maintain and continuously improve transparency and accuracy of product costing information and cost roadmap;
•Support business decision-making processes in pricing, product and customer profitability as well as investment;
•Drive business planning and lead the financial forecasting process;
•Provide value-added analysis towards sustainable business growth and profitability;
•Ensure transparency of management information and timely reporting;
•Maintain relevant processes, procedures and guidelines.

You will work together with the F&A team (3 FTE), the internal and external customers and the financial shared service center in Poland.
Your place of employment is Winschoten (Groningen) and you report directly to the Business Line Controller of Winschoten.

Job description

Philips Winschoten develops, produces, markets and distributes Quartz and Special Glass for the Lighting, Optical Fiber, and Semiconductor industries. The business supplies these products to both Philips (at cost+) and external customers (at market prices) in Europe, North America and Asian. The business is capable of winning these sales because of her competitive price positioning, unique products, and high quality/service levels.

In the last decades the business has built up a strong position in the Quartz and Special Glass components with several applications. The products like low viscosity quartz, blue glass and amber glass are unique for automotive signalling lighting and daylight running lamps. The business occupies unique position towards her Philips customers in head lighting, signalling and projection systems.

Within Philips, the business is the global competence center for glass development and glass forming technologies. The business is known for her expertises in:

Technologies for accurate and precise production;
Research and development capabilities for co-design resulting in creative and innovative products and process solutions;
Optimized waste management.
Philips Winschoten has a work force of 220 people. The Quartz Finishing production process is located in Pila, Poland.
The main products/services of organisation and unit BG Lamps:
Quartz for lighting (e.g. automotive) and non-lighting (water purification, Semicon, optical fibres, thermo elements etc.) applications;
Special Glass for lighting (BLB, medical, germicidal, HID) and non-lighting (night vision, sensors etc) applications;
Pellets, glass raw material for glass studios.

Job criteria

You are suitable for this challenging role when you have/are:
•At least 3-5 years of work experiences in finance and accounting area, preferably in a manufacturing environment;
•Cost Management expereince;
•experience with product and customer profitability management;
•experienced in business planning and financial forecasting;
•familiar with calculation of capital investments and post valuation of projects;
•experience with international business environments and internal controls;
•Good knowledge of SAP and excellent MS Office skills.
