As we work with our clients and colleagues to fill critical positions around the globe MRI® European Search Company is pleased to welcome Michael Jalbert, an experienced international business leader, as Managing Director of MRI® European Search Company USA. Over the course of his career, Michael has developed a reputation for dramatically expanding and invigorating businesses across a wide range of industries. His extensive corporate and international experience enables him to support flawless searches that meet and exceed client expectations.
Michael cemented his deep and comprehensive understanding of the search industry as President and CEO of Management Recruiters International (MRI), a position he held from 2006 to 2008. By redefining corporate strategy and upgrading its franchise communications, Michael increased MRI’s profits by 20 to 25 percent during each of his two years leading the company.
Before he assumed overall leadership of MRI, Michael ran the company’s worldwide operations, and owned the licensing rights for all MRI offices outside the United States. Michael oversaw over 150 MRI franchises, learning the capabilities of each international office.
Michael’s leadership role in the search industry follows a long history of impressive achievement in international business across a range of industries and company types. Time and again, Michael was recruited to grow companies through corporate reorganization, strategic advances, and improve operations. His ability to dramatically increase profitability by building both revenue and efficiency made him a major asset to each of his employers: PepsiCo’s Frito-Lay division, Chatham Village Foods, Allied Signal (now Honeywell International), Cendant Real Estate Division (now Realogy), and ERA Europe.
In addition to his overall business savvy, Michael has an excellent understanding of international business, especially in dealing with European markets. From 2000 to 2006, Michael served as a Vice Chairman and Partner for ERA Europe, a master franchisor for Cendant Real Estate (now Realogy) with a license to operate in 44 countries. Michael’s efforts helped achieve record profits for ERA, and also led to his being recruited to lead MRI.
Mr. Jalbert holds a BA in Communication from the University of Rhode Island and completed the executive program in business administration, EPBA, “Managing the Enterprise” at Columbia University Graduate School of Business.
